Avoid the red marks by outlining your thesis before you start writing it.

Writing a well-researched thesis is one of the hardest, and thankfully last, obstacles of graduate school. Creating an outline for your thesis paper enables you to see how your points fit together cohesively. It also helps you to identify any possible flaws or challenges to your hypothesis. In order to keep the outline from becoming a nuisance, follow theses simple steps.

Create the "Introduction" section with sub-points that state the proposal topic and thesis sentence. Clarify the scope of the research and the relevance of your analysis.

Create a "Literature Review" section with several outlined sub-sections. Include a portion on the dominant findings in the field, theoretical or methodological research designs, or trends in the research field. Discuss gaps in the research as well since your thesis should help fill such gaps.

Declare the type of research method being used and information on the data parameters or demographic of people being researched in the "Methods" section. State your method for coding data and any considerations or outside problems, which may sabotage your information and the instructions for handling those issues.

Use the "Findings" portion of the thesis to state any major research findings that you expect to find in the study

Wrap up your analysis of the topic in the "Conclusion" section. Include sub-points about the relevance of the findings and a note on the future of research in the field.
